Weapons & Kenjutsu
Fighting with a weapon
Left-click chains a combo. How it plays depends on what you hold:
| Weapon type | Combo |
|---|---|
| Swords and big blades | The sword combo: wide slashes ending in a heavy finisher |
| Kunai and claws | The kunai combo: fast stabs, held in a reverse grip |
| Bare hands | The taijutsu combo |
- Your stats: Kenjutsu raises sword damage (+1.875% per point) and makes your sword swings faster, up to +40% at 1000 Kenjutsu. Taijutsu raises bare-handed damage.
- On your back: weapons you aren't holding are drawn on your back or at your hip.
- Wear: weapons lose 1 durability per landed hit. Stronger weapons last longer. Repair one by combining two of the same weapon (crafting grid, anvil or grindstone), or with
/repair.
Throwing
Right-click throws these:
- Standard Kunai.
- Fuma Shuriken.
- Flying Thunder God Kunai. They stack to 16, and you can pick them back up after a throw. If you're Namikaze, or carry Namikaze blood from the DNA Lab, you flash to where the kunai lands, or right behind whoever it hits.
Kenjutsu mastery: V1, V2, V3
The blade in your hand grows with your Kenjutsu stat. Its tier shows in its name, and you get a message when you draw it.
| Tier | Kenjutsu | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| V1 | 0-399 | The weapon as it is |
| V2 | 400+ | +20% sword damage. Every hit leaves a slash of light |
| V3 | 800+ | +45% sword damage. Every hit also sends a crescent that cuts enemies around the target (30% of the hit). The blade glows |
Kenjutsu techniques
Learned automatically from your Kenjutsu stat. You need a blade in hand. They're in Extras > Kenjutsu.
| Kenjutsu | Technique | Rank |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | Iai Draw | C |
| 300 | Crescent Moon Dance | B |
| 500 | Whirlwind Cleave | B |
| 750 | Moonlight Slash Wave | A |
| 1000 | Thousand Cuts | S |

Where weapons come from
- The starter kit gives you kunai and shuriken. Some clans start with their own weapon (Fuma Shuriken, Enma's Adamantine Staff, the White Fang's Tanto, Flying Thunder God Kunai, see Clans).
- Other weapons come from the Battle Pass, merchants, events and staff rewards.
