DNA Lab
A long-shot gamble for another clan's bloodline or a kekkei genkai you weren't born with. Requires level 50+.
1. Get a sample
Raw DNA samples drop from:
- Boss Board bosses: 35% per kill.
- Dungeons: 4% on a clear (rising with the dungeon's level, up to 15%), 10% every 15 waves, and 3% in each reward milestone (see Bosses & Dungeons).
- The Amethyst Store: 20 Amethyst Ryo each (see Ryo).
- The Battle Pass: some tiers give samples.
Samples are common. Good samples are not.
2. Identify it (rogue medic, 500 Ryo)
Each reading has a 30% chance to be inconclusive. Otherwise the sample is read, and it can turn out to be:

- An inconclusive or empty reading counts as a failure, and a sample crumbles after 3 failures.
- Overall, about 1 sample in 20 turns out to hold something.
- Where a sample came from doesn't change the odds.
Pity
Every reading that finds nothing adds 1 to your DNA pity (shown after each reading). At 100, your next reading is guaranteed to find something. It's picked with the same table, so rare results stay rare. The counter resets when a reading finds something.
The vial
An identified sample shows its result and its rarity in its name and tooltip, and the vial takes the rarity's colour.
3. Implant it (rogue surgeon, 5,000 Ryo)
The surgery succeeds 20% to 70% of the time, depending on your Medical stat. It's a single try: a failed graft destroys the sample.
What you get
A kekkei genkai unlocks that release, with its starter jutsu. Train the rest as usual.
A clan's bloodline gives you that clan's kit without changing your own clan:
- its stat bonuses (for example Senju: +350 max chakra and +300 Chakra Control)
- its clan jutsu and natures
- its rare trait roll (Senju's 1% Wood Release)
- its eye:
- the Byakugan and the Ketsuryugan work straight away
- the Sharingan arrives dormant, like a born Uchiha's (see Sharingan & Mangekyou)
- Otsutsuki rolls Byakugan or Sharingan
- its clan-only perks, like the Tsuchigumo seal, the Namikaze kunai teleport and Uzumaki vitality
You can only carry each bloodline once, and you can't implant your own clan.
Good to know
- The Rinnegan and the Tenseigan can't come from DNA. The Rinnegan only evolves from the Sharingan (see Rinnegan), and the Tenseigan from the Byakugan (see Byakugan & Tenseigan). An old Rinnegan sample identified before this change implants as a dormant Sharingan.
- Off-clan eyes drain extra chakra, because they aren't your clan's bloodline.
